Instructor & Course
Bryant MurakamiAloha, I am Bryant Murakami and I have been teaching at Waipahu High School for two years and I'm also the multimedia pathway instructor in the arts and communication academy. My background is in film and media studies. I earned my PhD in American Studies from the University of Hawaii and an MA in Cinema-Television from the University of Southern California's School of Cinematic Arts. I enjoy teaching because I have the opportunity to share my passion of film with a younger generation and introduce them to creative forms of storytelling. Offering early college to secondary students is important because it provides students opportunities to explore different career pathways, save money on tuition, and also earn dual credits.
